Mightier: A Fun and Engaging Emotional Regulation Game for Kids

Mightier is an Android game developed by Mightier, a team of clinicians from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. It is designed to help children between the ages of 6 and 14 who struggle with their emotions, including those with tantrums, frustration, anxiety, or ADHD.

The game incorporates a heart rate monitor that allows children to see and connect with their emotions directly. As they play, their heart rate affects the gameplay, making it harder when their heart rate goes up. They learn to bring their heart rate down by taking a pause, earning rewards in the game. Through routine practice, this helps them develop emotional regulation skills to face real-world challenges.

Mightier offers over 25 games and 6 worlds to conquer, ensuring that children never get bored. It also includes the Gizmo, a visual representation of their heart rate, which teaches emotional management skills during extreme duress. Additionally, there are collectable creatures called Lavalings that help children connect with their range of emotions in a fun and engaging way.

For parents, Mightier provides an online hub to access a dashboard of their child’s progress. Customer support from licensed clinicians is available, along with tools and resources to help navigate the parenting journey with Mightier.
